College Wall Hanging

Well, this was a blast to create, thanks to my hubby for helping me put it together after I painted all of the canvases.  Once it was together, I decoupaged  the pictures and then added some stickers and a big yellow flower from Michaels.  Thanks for stopping by!

Loving this mixed media technique!  What a great way to use a lot of those bits and bobbles that I have in my stash!   I used Lindy's Stamp gang Sprays and just love how it turned out!  Off to make another canvas for my Son's Senior picture.  Thanks for checking in!

New Art Journal Page

I love creating these whimsical pages, though my daughter thinks that they are creepy J  I have been using the K&Company die cuts along with the magazine cut outs to create these collages.  Good way to use up scraps!  Thanks for checking in!

Happy April!

A day late, but no worries! I have been keeping up with documenting my days through the month. It will be fun to start again next year and see what I do next year. I think it’s funny that I am starting to plan things to do just so that I can write it on the card. 

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!!  I made several of these cards for family members using the La La Land Crafts Marci and Luca Digital Stamps.  I colored them in with Prima color Pencils and Gamsol.  I have been practicing and think that I have the faces down, but need more help with the hair colors.  The paper collection is Echo Park Victoria Garden, I thought that the colors were perfect for Easter.  I hope that everyone has a Blessed Easter and thanks for stopping by!

New Art Journal Pages

I have been having so much fun lately making journal pages in my new Dyan Reavely Creative Journal.  This sucker is large, at approx 11”x8 “there is a lot of room to work.  I have always been intrigued with the art journal collages using magazine pictures as well as the mixed media colleges using paper scraps and sprays.  Here I combined all of the techniques that have been inspired by lately.  Loving it!!  Have a great week!!

Perpetual Calendar

Perpetual calendar

Here is another little project that I worked on in January. I used Graphic 45 Place in Time papers and a little box that I found at a garage sale. I don’t remember where I purchased the library cards because that was a few years ago. I am sure you all know how that is and can relate. I hope to fit many years on these cards, it will be fun to look back and see what I was doing every day from years past. This is so easy to keep up since there is only space for a few words.

I used almost the whole 8x8 paper pad and kept a lot of the little pieces for my other projects. I have a lot of ideas floating around in my head!

Art Journal play

Wow, I had Ino idea that it has been since September since I last posted!! That does not mean that I have not been crafting, I'll post a few more of my projects soon. Lately I have been trying to Art Journal more and have been hooked on Dyan Reavely's style and her products. I can't wait for the new colors and the stencils and stamps to come out, especially the letter stamps. I have also been hooked on Christy Thomlinson and her classes, as well as Junelle Jacobson and her art. I am just soaking up the different styles and will be trying to mix and match all of them. Thanks for visiting!! TGIF!!

Another Mini for the Treasure Chest

Here is another Mini that I created for my treasure chest of Mini's of our vacation to Mexico a couple of years ago. As you can see the treasure chest will not close any more, but that is ok, the treasures are spilling over like a real treasure chest, lol. I used Authentique "Fresh" Collection for this album. I love their papers and embellishments! I wanted this album to stay flat so I did not use any thick embellishments on this one. (that was hard for me) Thanks for checking in, Happy Tuesday!

Coasters made with Graphic 45 Papers

Wow 2 posts in one day! Thanks for checking in again. I created these coasters using some left over tiles that I had from redoing our bathroom. They are the perfect size for coasters. This is a very simple project, all you need is 4x4 tiles, paper, Mod Podge and peel and stick felt for the bottom of the tile. I used the beautiful Graphic 45 collections, On the Boardwalk and Christmas Past. First I cut a 3 3/4 piece of paper, distressed the edges with Distress Ink and then fussy cut images for the top. I plan on making several more sets to give away as gifts for Christmas. This is a great way to use up your scraps!

Thank you Note

I simply love this image from La La Land Crafts so cute!! I paper pieced the robe and used prisma pencils on the hair and skin. I used Oak Leaf Olive Mica Powder from Lindy's Stamp Gang on the robe trim and umbrella and Lindy's Gator Gumbo Starburst Stain on the Fan. The fan is from Diana McRay Wood Veneers, I love them!! The paper is from an old collection from Club Scrap. This is the first time that I have tried this paper, great quality!! http://photobucket.com/WoodVeneers Email: DianaMcRae@cox.net Thanks for stopping by!!
