Altered Canvas for a Friend Finally used the Mariposa Paper

I made this Altered Canvas for a good friend for her Big Birthday! The canvas is a 12x12 canvas that I purchased at Joann’s. First I painted the sides and about an inch of the front with several matching colors of paint. I then stamped the corners with black ink and rubbed walnut stain over everything. On 2 of the corners I used Bead Gel (Clear) and let it dry. I love how it provides some texture to the corners. I used a 6x6 piece of cork board that I had and added trim to the bottom. The flowers were from I am Roses and the chip board pieces are part of the Mariposa paper collection. The frame was from the dollar section at Michaels (last year) as well as the metal embellishments. I attached the frame so that it can be removed to add a picture.

This is my first altered frame and I know that it won’t be my last!
