It's been awhile since I posted, still working on the commissioned scrapbooks and have not had a lot of time to make projects. This is a canvas that I made for a friend for her Birthday. I hope she likes it! I used "The Girls Paperie" kit that I picked up at Tuesday Mornings. They still have some available in all of the styles. Can't beat this deal! Thanks for visiting my blog!

I used Prisma pencils and mineral spirits to color in the image then went over it with Clear stickles. I love Northwood stamps, the image is crisp witha lot of space for coloring. I lifted this idea from For Keep Sakes LSS in St Louis, they have a wonderful store and blog, check them out.

Just My Type Birthday Card

I love this stamp from MFT, so versital with so many sayings. I found this paper at an estate sale, it was a HUGE binder full, I think that it was probably a set that you can find on one of the shopping networks from years ago. Can't beat the thrift stores and Garage Sales!!

I made this Get Well Card for a good friend who is going into the hospital tomorrow. I used the Authentique Splended collection, wow, what great papers! They are all one sided so I don't feel like I am wasting one side of the paper when making my selecttion. The digital stamp is from "Some Odd Girl" Love these stamps too!

Halloween Casket Mini, Through the Years

I really enjoyed working on this album to showcase pictures of all of our Halloween Parties through out the years. I purchased the casket at a Flee Market a few weeks ago and knew that I wanted to make something right away.

This casket was already stained a dark brown, I wanted to lighten it up a little and provide some glimmer.

I painted Mission Bells Brown all over the casket, since it is a stain, it went on evenly and the wood soaked it up.

Using my finger I buffed on Gold Rub and Buff

The last step in staining the casket was to brush Espresso Glimmer Glam all over the casket

I used Hogs Wart Orange from Lindy's Stamp Gang to brush some stain onto the crow that I purchased at Michaels.

These are the colors that I used to stain the flowers from I am Roses and SA Crafter.

Vintage Altered Record

My Daughter wanted me to alter this record into a Shabby Chic wall hanging. I love this picture of her and her boy friend and thought that she would like to have somthing with them togher. I used one of the Girl's Paperie collections that I picked up at Tuesday Mornings. Those kits are such a great deal, I was lucky to find the last one :-) Thanks for visiting my blog, have a great week!

I made this little tag book for my Mother-in Law for her Birthday. My Mom had a great idea to give her a Dessert of the Month Club, with me making the desserts and delivering them to her every month. I really like this idea because she imply adores dessert. I am not much of a baker so this may be a challenge for me, but I am up to it.

Thanks for visiting my blog!

Homemade Junk Journal made out of Licence plates

I have been saving out old Missouri Licence plates for a couple of years because I knew that I wanted to use them to make an album or journal. I thought that it would be perfect for making a Junk Journal for my Daughter to take back to school with her in the fall.

I made this Homemade "Samsh" Junque Journal/Daily Food Journal/Art Journal this afternoon. I really love how it turned out and it's going to be a lot of fun filling out that pages with bits and pieces of my daily life.

Here is the beginning of the Treasure Chest of Mini's of our trip to Cancun, Mexico 2 years ago, better late than never! The box is from Hobby Lobby, I painted the outside with grey, then crackle medium and then white paint. The crackle did not work all that great so I took the black distress ink and lighttly ran it over the outside. I thought that the cracks showed up a lot better. I then ran over it with Lindy's to give it the blue color. I used the Tim Holts flower die to cut out the flowers using Crinlin which can be found at Joann's. This fiber cuts very well and dies perfectly. I also stained the star fish with Lindy's. Stay tuned for the albums that will fit into the treasure chest. (well I hope that they all fit into the chest, I tend to make fat mini's)

Rep Your State ATC

What a great idea for an ATC Swap, thanks Tmika for hosting!! The idea was to create an ATC representing your state. I used the metal tape from the hardware store to cover the arch and Lindy's stains for the card and the I am Roses Flowers. It's a lot of fun creating on these tiny pieces.

I love this new stamp that I purchased at Archivers from Stamping Bella. They had quite a few to choose from and it was hard to pick which one to purchase but I did settle on “Park Bench Bella” I used the new stamp set from Technique Tuesday called "Just My Type" I have been looking for a set like this for months!!

I used Kraft paper along with the Stella Rose collection from My Minds eye. I love how it turned out, but I need a lot of work with the proper shading. Thanks for taking a peek!

I Am Roses In the Garden Contest

I am so excited to enter the I am Roses In the Garden contest. My Topiary was a work of love, I hand painted each flower and layered them on each level of the topiary. I had to stop and paint more flowers 3 times  I took a lot more than I thought. I painted them with Acrylic paint in Pink, Yellow and White. I mixed water and pearl glimmer mist to thin it out before painting. I then prepped the topiary with White Gesso to help with the contract of the dark green and the flowers. I adhered the flowers with Pearl stick pins all over the foam balls. On the bottom or the pot of the topiary I layered 3 different laces and adhered them with pearl stick pins. I added tulle, buttons, pearls and white wedding roses all over the top. After I completed the project I thought that my stick pins would look nice mixed throughout the flowers. All of these pins were from the different swaps that I participated in.

I hope that you like it as much as I so, it will look so nice in my scrap room after I finally paint it. Thanks for taking a peek!

Altered Garage Sale Frame

I purchased this frame at a garage sale a few weeks ago and thought that it could use a few alterations, LOL! I glimmered up some roses from WOC, the leaves are from I am Roses. I used some of my crinkled seam binding and a Tim Holtz frame. I really like how this turned out, now I just need to find the perfect picture to place in it. More Garaging tomorrow, I hope I find lots of treasures!!

Birthday Cards I have been working on

I have a lot of Birthdays coming up and wanted to create some cards with my new GF Stamps and some paper that I received at a crop. I only used a few sheets of paper from Imaginisce. I am not sure if this is a new collection, but as soon as I saw it I knew I was going to create cards. I use Prisma Pencils and Mineral Spirits to color the images and I can't believe how easy it is.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!
